Daily Health Screener As of October 8, our District has been using the ezSCRN Screening System as our new daily health screening survey for students. You should have received an email from the District inviting you to the ezSCRN Screening System from info@easyscat.com . Directions on how to access the APP and how to sign into your ezSCRN account was provided. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk folder. To see the app’s features and functions, please watch this short video: https://vimeo.com/456510835 . If you are having problems installing the app, the survey can also be accessed at this website: https://app.ezscrn.com/ . If you have not already done so, please download the ezSCRN APP on either your phone (through an APP or the phone mobile’s browser) or in a web browser on a laptop/desktop computer. Please begin using ezSCRN to report your child’s daily health status by 8:30 am. Students arriving at school without the health screener completed necessitates Nurse Rozsa to visit classrooms to take students’ temperatures. We thank you in advance for your support and cooperation in doing your part to keep KES students and staff safe. Arrival/Drop-Off Please have your child ready for drop-off with their mask on and backpack, lunch and water bottle in hand for when it is time for them to exit the car. This will ensure a safe and speedy drop-off. Dismissal/Pick-Up Thank you for those who have signs in the windshields of your car with your child’s name , grade and teacher written c-l-e-a-r-l-y and BOLDLY . IT IS SO HELPFUL!!!!! Please make sure that if your nanny, babysitter or relative is picking up your child that they also have a sign in their windshield. STARTING TOMORROW TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, PICK-UP TIME WILL BE 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM FOR ALL K-5 STUDENTS. Inclement Weather We will be taking children outside for mask and movement breaks whenever weather permits. A light rain will not preclude us from sending outside those students being picked-up for dismissal, so please send your child into school with the proper attire for the forecasted weather. Fall Festivities The following is how KES will celebrate this year’s fall festivities: Students are invited to wear orange , black and/or purple for Spirit Days on: Cohort A- Tuesday, October 27 Cohort B, K and 1- Friday, October 30 Thanks to our PTO, during the week of October 26-30 students will have the opportunity to walk the KES Nature Trail to see the fall holiday decorations with their class. The PTO is also planning a crafts activity for all students, including those who are 5-Day Remote. Interim Reports On Wednesday, November 4 Interim Reports will be made available for families on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. In a typical year, we complete Progress Reports in November but given our new hybrid/remote model, we have revised the progress report schedule. The first progress report will be completed in January after we have had more time to work with your children. The November conferences and Interims will give you a sense of how your child is progressing in school. Parent-Teacher Conferences/Early Dismissals (No lunch at school.) Parents will receive notification through Connect Ed. when signing-up for conferences through PTCFast online becomes available.
